FAQ's

Starting a journey with horses is an exciting milestone for children and their families. Here are helpful answers to the questions parents ask most about our introductory sessions, hands-on care, and program packages.

What age group is Little Equestrians-Big Dreams designed for?

Our program is specially curated for children aged 5 to 10 years old. We meet young learners right where they are, offering developmentally appropriate, engaging instruction that sparks confidence and joy around horses.

Does my child need any prior experience around horses to join?

No prior horse experience is needed at all! Whether your child has never touched a horse or has already fallen in love with ponies from afar, our gentle horses and instructors guide them through every step from the very beginning.

What does a typical session look like?

We embrace our signature whole horse concept. Rather than focusing solely on time in the saddle, children learn hands-on horse care, brushing and grooming, general safety around equine companions, and essential barn awareness alongside gentle riding basics.

What steps do you take to help nervous children and parents feel safe?

We start every child with a preliminary trial sesson before committing to a multi-week package. Parents are warmly invited to stay during the session to watch, and if you feel comfortable around horses, you are welcome to assist with the hands-on care activities!

How are the regular session packages structured?

Following your preliminary trial lesson, families can register for convenient program packages of 4 or 8 weekly sessions. 30 minute sessions are ideal for keeping them engaged, confident, and safe without becoming fatiqued or overwhelmed.

This consistent rhythm allows children to develop real confidence, routine, and a genuine connection with the horses.

How do we get started and sign up?

Getting started is easy! Simply book your child's initial taster session and complete our quick introductory questionnaire so we can learn more about your child's interests and comfort level before their visit.
